The first round of Hyper Budding Chef Junior Contest culminated in Noida, the capital’s next door neighbourhood famous for a variety of street food. Perhaps that was the reason why Noida was chosen to play host to the contest. The event is the perfect platform for young chefs to display their cooking prowess and talent.
Organised in association with Food Food channel, the contest was judged by celebrity chef Shailendra Kekade. The contestants prepared a dish of their choice in front of hundreds of keen visitors in the mall. They also shared various techniques, interesting ingredients and secrets with the audience.
Thirty aspiring young chefs were selected from an online registration on Hypercity’s FB page as well as through offline medium at the mall. The preparations were judged for their innovativeness, unique taste and presentation.
Mehar Sharma (left) and Ayush Jain (right) were adjudged the first and second Runners Up, respectively.
Abhimanyu Batra won the round with his Bhuna Mutton recipe. The first and second Runners Up were Maher Sharma for chocolate lava cake and Ayush Jain for apple tart & kheech tart respectively.
