DPS R K Puram organises cleanliness drive

Delhi Public School R K Puram launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under the guidance of the Principal Ms. Vanita Sehgal on September 15, 2017. The students and the teachers took a keen interest in the Cleanliness Campaign. The faculty took special care to sensitize the student body towards the need of keeping the self and the environment clean.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on October 2, the staff and the students cleaned the areas in and around the school vicinity. To fulfill the true spirit of ‘Swachhta hi Sewa,’ the Principal, teachers and students of DPS R.K.Puram joined hands with the Additional Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), Ms. Meeta Singh and the faculty of SDMC schools to promote the movement.

Five teams comprising teachers and students from DPS R.K.Puram visited five SDMC schools in R.K.Puram. The students presented a Nukkad Natak and also organised a quiz to spread the awareness and the need for cleanliness. A First Aid Box was presented to each school and the students were gifted with pouches filled with toiletries.

The Social Service League and the Interact Club of the school played an integral role in the cleanliness drive. The drive saw an active partnership of the DPS RK Puram and the SDMC schools coming together on the same platform to celebrate the dream of our Prime Minister.
