Abhimanyu-Mishra Bio

Abhimanyu Mishra, an Indian-American-born chess player, is regarded as the world’s youngest-ever grandmaster, having qualified for the title at the age of 12 years. He also holds the world record for the youngest International Master, a title which he gained in November 2019 at the age of 10 years, breaking the record of Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa. FIDE awarded Mishra the title in February 2020. Mishra has clinched many first places. In March 2021, Mishra tied for first place with GM Vladimir Belous in the Charlotte Chess Center’s Spring 2021 GM Norm Invitational held in Charlotte, North Carolina, in April 2021, first place with Souhardo Basak at the Vezerkepzo GM tournament in Budapest, Hungary, in May 2021, first place at the First Saturday GM tournament in Budapest, Hungary, and in June 2021, first place at the Vezerkepzo GM Mix tournament in Budapest, Hungary.
