Jhulan Goswami, an Indian International Cricketer, is best known for her hit performances in women’s cricket championships. She is also well-known as the former captain of the Indian national women’s cricket team. Jhulan is best regarded as an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-fast and also said to be one of the greatest women fast bowlers of all time and one of the fastest bowlers in the history of women’s cricket and the fastest contemporary bowler. In August 2018, Jhulan announced her retirement from WT20Is. She has won the ICC Women’s Player of the Year award in 2007 and the M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Women’s Cricketer in 2011. She was also ranked first in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings in January 2016. Goswami is regarded as the highest wicket-taker in Women’s One Day International cricket. In April 2018, an Indian postage stamp was issued in Goswami’s honor.
