Priyanka Chaturvedhi

Priyanka Vickram Chaturvedi is an Indian politician serving as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra and Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena. Prior to this, she was a member and one of the National Spokespersons of Indian National Congress. She began her career as a Director of MPower consultants, a media, PR and event management company.

Apart from being a national spokesperson, she has also been a columnist for Tehelka, Daily News and Analysis, & First Post. She is a trustee of several NGOs which work for children’s education, women empowerment, and health. Priyanka runs a book review blog which is among the top ten weblogs on books in India. In 2015, she was a part of the delegation of young political leaders chosen by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK and UK High Commission. She visited London to understand their democracy better. She participated in “Asian Forum on Global Governance” programme jointly organised by Observer Research Foundation and Zeit Stiftung in 2015.
