Rahi Sarnabot Bio

Rahi Sarnobat, an Indian female Athlete and a Pistol Shooter, is best known as the first Indian women pistol shooter to win an ISSF World Cup gold and the first Indian woman shooter to win gold at the Asian Games. She has competed in the 25 meters pistol shooting event too, and won her first gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. In May 2015, Rahi was recommended for the country’s most prestigious, Arjuna Award by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). She became the first Indian woman to become an individual Asian Games gold medallist in shooting by winning the 25-meter pistol event with a Games record score of 34 on 22 August 2018. She also won the shoot-off against her Thai opponent to bag the gold. Rahi has also won the gold medal at the Munich World Cup event in 2019 and was selected for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
