Tarundeep Rai Bio

Tarundeep Rai, an Indian Athlete is an Indian Archer, who began his career with his debut in international archery at the age of 19 years when he played at the Asian Archery Championship 2003 held at Yangon, Myanmar. He is best known to be the first Indian to win an individual men’s silver medal in archery at the 16th Asian Games on 24 November 2010 in Guangzhou, China.

Rai was a member of the Indian archery team that won the bronze medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006, and also a member of the Indian men’s recurve team at the 2012 London Olympics. He was honored with the Arjuna Award – the highest recognition given to a sportsman in India, in the year 2005.
