She comes from a family background of wrestlers, whose cousins are Geeta Phogat, and Babita Kumari, who also hold Gold Medals from the Commonwealth games as well. Over the years, she has established herself as one of the most feared and strongest wrestlers in the world and still she continues to lag behind in terms of popularity compared to Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari.
